Most servers aren’t told to work Xmas day, they volunteer. Not that they want to but because they need money.

Many volunteer to work the holidays. We have taken call ( yes you work) for every thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve. It’s a special group that there are more volunteers than needed.

when i worked, it was on all holidays, usually for straight time. it was a job that never ended, shifts always coming & going.

TooJays is open on Christmas & so is Cracker Barrel. Both are very good restaurants.
