Default Rita's in Wildwood oysters and middle eastern

Discovered Rita's last week. We got a sampler of middle eastern fare which was a treat! Rita owns a restaurant in Leesburg as well, so opened in Wildwood about 8 months ago. She's Lebanese and has been in the US over 25 years. Regulars were raving about the oysters.

Rita's hands-on management in friendly, down home style was just right. We were impressed with the variety that included typical oyster bar stuff, along with identifiably Greek, Lebanese and Israeli items. I especially like the stuffed grape leaves, and the falafel, and the prices and Rita!

The building has a soda shop feel to it, homey, and casual, and those are luscious oysters coming over the bar....faster than you can eat.

Rita's Oyster Bar and Grill - Home .....check out the food pix. I'm going back for snow crab.

I've been looking for a really good oyster bar down here.
Some friends & I used to go to Rhode Island all the time for the weekends & would always go to this one place for oysters on the 1/2 shell. It's been over a year now since I've had them.

OK, I'm making myself hungry now! LOL (the snow crab sounds really yummy also)

We ate there and the pounding of either shucking the oysters or smashing some other shell fish was very annoying and loud. Wished they would have done it in the back

I just called. The oyster bucket special is Thursday night, but that's okay... they have them every night, and I'll just splurge!

Any of those nights works for me, but maybe Tues. or Weds. would be better for others.

Anyone else wanna join us?

Cyndy,
Let's do Thursday eve. Is 6:30 a good time? everybody is welcome. when we firm up the plan. I'll post this to totv and singles if we get one other person who wants to be there.
OK, one more person, my friend Larry wants to be there, so here is the plan, Thursday, week from now. Jan 30.
I think oysters are $16 a bucket. AND if you don't eat them, you will be surprised at the scope of the menu.
They can troll across a lot of palates...

Sounds good to me. Thursday, 6:30 at Rita's. It's in the shopping center with the post office and Ace Hardware on 301.

OK, I'm trusting you on this one. We're going to give it a try.
