Pleasantly surprised the last two times we frequented the place. We don't believe in waiting for a table so we decided to try RJ Gators, when the other restaurants were so crowded.
Very good service, the waitress was very attentive to our needs both times we visited. The gator sandwich my son ordered was very good, for the first experience, tasted like chicken, in yummy mushroom sandwich. Grandchildren were with us, and treated well, ordered from children'smenu. I ordered the chicken tacos, came with beans and rice for about 6$. We enjoyed the view of Lake Sumter, and it was a good atmosphere. The fries we ordered were tastey, and slightly seasoned.
For the second visit, we sat inside, and enjoyed the fish dinner Sunday special buy 1 get one free, which a lot of patrons were ordering. 12.99 total for 2 dinners. Was fine for the price. Coleslaw was very flavorful, also comes with lightly fried white fish, fried shrimp, and fries. And 2 for 1 happy hour every day, from 11:00 on, all day.
we were able to watch TV sports , they have many screens around and waitress will accomodate you with your game/sports channel to view.
So for low stress, and choice of tables, this place is nice to visit.
