Give them multiple weeks to get rhythm together. Wine list is a little short. Will not wait for other opinions, what someone else thinks is not so great or fabulous may not be the same as ours.

I agree. It's not a big wine list, but the basics are covered. Maybe they will add as business gets going and people request certain ones.
I also never base my opinion to go or not because of reviews, but sometimes I like to hear what others have to say to get a feel for the place before I go.

I just saw the wine list--too bad its a loser--if $30.00/ bottle is their best--its not going to fly as a high end steak house--normally there is a 300% mark up -if you;re spending $30.00 its really a $10.00 bottle-- hope they have a corkage fee--would rather pay a corkage fee than ruin a good meal with cheap wine

Go first class or stay at home

Here's your award for being the first Villager to ever bitch about a price that was too cheap.

If the mark up was 300%.... would the cost be $10 or $7.50?

And Mr. Moderator.... you are worth every penny they pay you. Keep up the good work.

Not everyone cares about the wine; please don't be a snob. Is the food good? Service good? Ambience?

In today's restaurant world there are multiple ways to preserve wine for a by the glass experience. I even have one that hold a two bottles and will preserve until wine is gone.

It's not that people are snobs, TV has a multitude of people who enjoy a very good wine with dinner. Most don't even realize that we have at least 4 Somm's in our community.

Pairing wine with the correct food is an experience.

hopefully a corkage fee until a good list is put together. They are looking for staff with knowledge of wine, so here's hoping

I always find it interesting how people choose to spend their money. We all have different things that are important to us or that we enjoy.

I know people who spend a lot on food & wine. It definitely doesn't make them any classier or better than anyone else. In fact, it couldn't be any further from the truth. That's just what they choose to spend money on.

We travel a lot so that's where we enjoy spending money. I have no problem with house wines.
However if we do go out for a good meal, I might get a nice Riesling or Sauvignon Blanc.

It's all good. I love people and I like our differences. Being different is the spice of life and makes the world go round. It also makes life more interesting.
It would truly be a boring world if everyone liked the same things.

They are booked up with reservations in advance already.

We'll wait.

Agree! But no well-known labels on their menu except Ferrari Carano and they spelled it wrong. They are at 3X retail (which is normal) but the most expensive wine (the $52 Pinot Noir) is not even a French, Oregon or California product but an Italian Pinot. That's odd.
