Default Does Johnny Rockets Have a Following?

Johnny Rockets has been an institution in Lake Sumter from the beginning. Just curious from its regular patrons, is it the nostalgia that keeps it in business, or is the food really that good?

Probably a little of both. I enjoyed Johnny Rockets (burgers, onion rings and a shake) before we ever moved here.

Good burgers. Fun atmosphere. Great location. Decent service. My grandson's favorite TV restaurant (and IHOP) -- he is eight, after all.

Decent burgers and milkshakes. Fries aren't bad and the Philly Cheesesteak, while not to be confused with Gino's or Pat's, tastes pretty good. Don't like the onion rings, but have not found any in The Villages I do like.
All and all, not bad.

I'm not a fan for greasy food, I like the floats and shakes, don't like the squirted ketchup on the paper plate. Like the retro decor, don't like the uncomfortable booth seating. Like the location, don't like the single lavatory. Which has never been clean for us, men and ladies. Lavatories also need a renovation, bad.

Johnny Rockets was on the ropes here until new ownership straightened things out. In fact, they now own Red Sauce and Amerikanos Grille.

Have you tried the onion rings at Square One Burger? The onions are cooked before they're batter dipped. So when you bite into one, you don't pull it out of its shell. They're served on a stand like a Christmas tree.

With so many burgers available in TV, I was curious how JR's survived so long? Personally, I prefer the burgers from Texas Road House, Ruby Tuesday, Chilli's, and even Toojays.

I'm at JRs at least once a week. The burgers and shakes are quite good. Most of the time the service is at least average to above average. Even when they are really busy, the service is acceptable. I love the atmosphere. My wife and I nearly always split the double smoke-house burger when we dine there together. My granddaughters love the place. My week is not complete unless I've been there at least once.

Love Johnny Rockets....Great burgers, fries, shakes and Onion Rings. If you have not tried their breakfast...cant be beat although I personally would rather differnet home fries. George the General Manager is a great guy and has totally transformed Johnny Rockets when it was owned by the Company. He is getting alot of golfer traffic in the mornings....which is great. Glad to see someone succeed especially when we can enjoy the benefits!!

Square one O rings are the bomb. Best here and maybe best anywhere. Johnny Rockets is great for what it is. Good burgers and shakes. Haven't tried breakfast yet but by all reports its very good.
