Stopped at Jan & Terry's Diner yesterday for breakfast. What a nice surprise! All homemade, freshly prepared to order food. Excellent coffee, nice atmosphere extensive menu for both breakfast and lunch. It's easy to miss Jan & Terry's, located next the Hallmark Store on Bichara Blvd. (near Belk's). Address is 1000 Bichara Blvd., 352-750-0010 open 7 days a week. Give them a try. We will definitely be going back!

We just had lunch there and I had the homemade Italian Sausage Soup and a half sandwich. WOW! I loved the soup! The chicken salad sandwich was great too but I was really surprised by the soup. She told us about a lot of different soups that they make all from scratch. They had lunch specials as well that sounded very good. What a great place to eat. The breakfast menu also looked fantastic. I sure wish it was closer to my Village as I would be there a lot more. We will be going back often and they need our support during the summer months to keep this great restaurant open for all of us. If you have not been, GO! Right next to Hallmark Cards in the Spanish Plaines Shopping Plaza.

Just went there today, cute place and food was tasty. Place was almost empty, only 1 other couple yet we did not get offered drink refills until we were done and ready to leave. We may come again.

We were there this morning (Sunday) and the coffee flowed continuously. Had eggs and bacon on a bagel. Best breakfast out since coming to TV. Mom and Pop atmosphere. The nice thing is that due to the friendliness of the proprietors, the customers tend to end up chatting with one another.

Jan and Terry's restaurant is just terrific any time of day. They make their own soup which is delicious. Try their daily specials which are wonderful. They also make milk shakes and delicious root beer floats. I've never had a bad meal there...always delicious. If you are not sure what something is or if you'll like it just ask and they will bring out a sample...something no one else does.

Did they just start opening 7 days a week? I went by a month or so ago and they were closed Sundays.

Love the place, so glad it is close by as we will be regulars. Hubby loves the banana pecan pancakes and my favorite is the BLT with egg on a kaiser roll. Owners are super friendly. We went this morning and it was packed, yahoo, I want them to stay.

So my husband and I try to support small business owners. We had been to Jan & Terry's several times. The last time we were there it just wasn't the same. I think they are trying to save money by not hiring help (and I get that), but sometimes you need to spend a little to get a lot. The bathrooms were dirty, she brought me toast that was basically buttered bread; I sent it back and what she brought looked liked smashed toast. I really felt bad that it had gone downhill so fast. Unfortunately we won't be going back. I sure hope they hire a waitress so they can tend to the things that matter.
