Another local restaurant without recent posts. Good Pizza !!! Tasty Grinders ! Now every pizza aficionado in The Villages will have the opportunity to take exception, but let's not start talking about the ones from our old home towns. As for the steak and cheese grinder, its a French Dip, not a Philly Cheese Steak, but I know that. Decent food for a reasonable price.

We had a pizza there today. I try and mention their name every chance I get, I posted about it on the Papa Murphy thread. Sammy Joe's is 11 miles from our place in the southern end, but we love their pizza and try to get up there every week or two. It's a thin crust, but not like Pizza Hut or Domino's thin, here they are tasty. You can also request pizza to the edge, which means almost no crust, they roll the dough out different and apply ingredients to the edge. Sunday and Monday you can get a large for $9.99 eat in. They are in Mulberry Plaza next to Publix and very near to the VA Clinic.

I have had 3 differant subs there, Ital cold-cut,chicken parm and meatball parm and they were excellant. I also have had their pizzas and never been disappointed, crust in the thin side, tasty sauce all served by great folks. Give them a try if you are near bye. She is also the owner of Sunrise cafe where they do a wonderful job. I have no family who works there just enjoy their food.
