Sounds reasonable for such a nice deli, and oooooh their chicken livers. Yum, yum.Yum!

Why would the landlord work to "knock down" competition when he OWNS all of the real estate. He is looking to RENT IT. ( to someone who pays the rent) which brings us to the next ugly thought. Who might have gotten behind?) I don't know and you don't know, but...large companies like Ruby Tuesday's probably pay on time.

Why, why, why, why is the Morse family so frequently the target of conspiracy stories? Why doesn't someone go talk to someone at the business leasing department? It is not a shame or a sin, girls and boys to be successful. Be a capitalist. Follow the American dream.

I would like to go on record in saying that I like Carrabas and Bonefish. I also like Cane Garden and The Lighthouse.

Not anti-chain Gracie.
TooJay's is a chain, Gracie. There may only be 3 here, but there are quite a few in other parts of Florida. I don't think speaking of the Developer without blinders on is a bad thing. It's realistic. If people didn't like living here, they would move. Yes, those who live here and in the surrounding communities have lots to do, thanks to the Developer's foresight. TV is a great place to live, warts and all.

Gonna correct you on this. TooJays is a Chain. TooJays has been acquired by private equity firm Branford Capitol. TooJays has 24 locations across Florida, most of their food is prepared at a central location.
What you get food wise at any of these locations is prepacked warmed up food most likely in the microwave. Not all but most of it. A number of restaurants here do follow what TooJays does. Lopez,Palmer,Hemmingway, is always a safe bet..best bet do your homework. Red Sauce has turned around new ownership Jan.2015..try it .

That. sir, is a very astute comment. The problem with such a system in the long run, however, is when the "heir to the throne" turns out to be a Caligula.

Default TooJays is a chain.

I was wrong. I still like TooJays.

Even if food is pre-prepared or pre-assembled, pay enough for the supervisor of your kitchen help so they won't overcook it or throw in too many capers or sauce or stuff like that.

THAT happens way too often in too many restaurants around here. My advice would be to hire someone who knows HOW to cook and pay them enough to keep all the helpers heading in the right direction.

I had the worst bunch of mushy vegetables in an Asian Stir fry Thursday night, south of 466A and someone put way too much sauce on it too and the worst part is ...paid $13.95 for it.

No. Didn't complain, but that is the third time I was disappointed at the same place. I will vote with my feet and not go back. If my three times were not isolated instances, then soon another restaurant won't be renewing it's lease.

Don't usually complain Gracie.

I'm not going to single out TooJays however TooJays would have to hire Three Chefs or Cooks if you prefer for the locations here in the Villages. Not practical plus the sheer expense would not add up. On top of that it would set a prescient for the other 21 locations. So that delicious Top Sirloin or Stuffed Cabbage the boxed potatoes, if you like warmed up dinners Great...however if that is your choice may I suggest you visit the local Supermarket , check out the frozen food section select...and add your very own spices to the " Entree " of your choosing. Better wine selection, lite a candle or two, your better off plus zero wait time..or choose one of the restaurant that has a Chef or Cook, they are available.

As I mentioned TooJays is not alone in serving pre-packaged food here...do your homework and off ya go.

If this was directed at me, Thank you. I appreciate the advice. I am working on egg scrambling now. Hope to warm pre made mashed potatoes next week.

Hate to tell you this. Most restaurant kitchens DON'T have microwaves.
