I'm amazed that no restaurants here have large round tables. Can't imagine how a group of 10-12 people can really enjoy the bowling alley seating that most restaurants & clubs have. Also, round tables would make for a much better sound level for nearby patrons.

check at Nancy Lopez. I think they can seat 10 or 12. I also think Mallory has round tables for 8.

Another start is 6 go to one restaurant and 6 go to another restaurant. That way they have a chance of being able to talk to each other and getting decent service and not ruining all the other diners experiences (unless, of course, you don't give a damn)....just sayin!!..

Yes, round table would be great for all the large group activity at the CCs.
I have wondered the same thing. You know they would keep them filled during busy hours. |

Some of the CC clubs have them. Business wise it's a big foot print, and you are actually farther away from each other for conversation

Pre-cise-ly. once again you found the bottom line and shared it. A long table is a simple solution to using space wisely. You can't hear very well in a group anyway. Most of us can't hear unless we are two or three people close in a restaurant. If it could be better here, MOST TIMES, it would be improved already. Many of us solve the problem by inviting the group back to our home for dessert. We can hear and chat.

Just had 13 of us at Lopez. They gave us our own room, so restaurant noise was not a problem. Still, I could only hear the person next to me and the two people across from me. They were the only ones you could hold a decent conversation with.
At our son's rehearsal dinner, we had the tables set up in a square, with everyone sitting around the outside; nobody in the middle. 20+ people, and everyone could comfortably converse with everyone else. That was ten years ago, however. Not the same hearing capability now, I'm afraid.

Do You have a phone with you . You know the saying "call a friend". That way you don't even need to sit at the same table.
