Default Tap House Social

Today we went to the new restaurant, Tap House Social, and honestly we never would have because it’s a sports bar. Then I saw this video put out by TV, and it had some really interesting dishes.

We ordered the chili nachos as an appetizer and they were wonderful! The chili tasted fresh, sour cream, few jalapeños, and the freshest of chips. Really good. (I envision us going at night and getting just these)

Then we ordered the roast beef for the hubby and chicken dippers for me. The roast beef was succulent, the potatoes had a real ‘potatoy’ taste which means they are fresh, and the Cajun corn was sublime. Really tasty.

When it came to my meal, the chicken tenders were put in bowl and shaken, which defeated the term ‘dippers’, and they were a little off in their recipe because all I tasted was vinegar. Ugh! But they were extremely accommodating because they did it over and brought them without any sauce.

I admit I’m pretty tough in my reviews, but I would give this an 8 because of no outside seating and the sports, (would it kill someplace to have at least one television with something on the history or cooking channel?). All in all they served excellent food and we will be going back, often.

So, you lowered your review because a sports bar showed (OMG) sports on its TV instead of something else? That is ridiculous. When reviewing any place, you need to review it on what it's meant to be - not on what you want it to be.

Good review of the food. The comment re the TV's not showing The History Channel or The Food Network is a head scratcher. IT IS A SPORTS BAR!!!

We went to the Social Tap House a week ago, in the afternoon. The atmosphere was good, as was the food. The staff was amazing, from hostess to server to manager. Definitely on our "go to" often list. By the way, a corner TV was showing CNBC for the financial and market news.

Finally, a really great Sports Bar and Restaurant. Great service, great food and reasonable prices. Love the Place!

Yes I always go to bars/restaurants and hope they have the history or cooking channel on, especially a sports bar.

You guys are too funny! I meant it to be lighthearted, meaning it’s a 10.

Roast beef for the "hubby" ?? So why wasn't it chicken dippers for the "ball and chain"?

Dang. Thought maybe somebody had checked and found that something history-related had begun appearing on the History Channel. :-(

It’s a sports bar…why would you expect to see anything else on the TV’s?

I'm surprised Joseph and Julia weren't available for viewing in a sports bar.
