Default Can a girl from Ohio cook New Jersian?

Now I am prepared for my exciting adventure into making and serving a Taylor ham/pork roll sandwich tonight to the three of us. I have three slices of Taylor ham/pork roll from Publix. I have Kaiser rolls and I have eggs.

I fry the meat and fry the egg and put on a roll. WHAT KIND OF CHEESE, please???

I was planning to serve the sandwich with homemade baked beans and potato salad. What do you serve it with if you eat it for dinner, instead of breakfast?

Can anyone direct me further???

Thank you all for your patience. I am still learning different American cuisine and dialects. .

I remember having Taylor ham as a kid when my mother used to make it YEARS ago.

I don't remember having it with cheese, but Swiss and American are two of my favorites for that type of thing. Whatever floats your boat there, Gracie.

Baked beans and PS are two of my faves here too.

What time is din-din ?

Default Pork Roll

I find that american cheese works best for this sandwich, but to each their own.
And I can promise you this is nothing like spam. I can't even put spam near my lips. Also Gracie you are going to need about 3 slices per sandwich to get the full experience. I'm not sure what to price is for this at publix? Maybe you can get it cheaper from Gandolfo's Deli which is right in the same plaza as publix on 466.

We are just washing up.

It was Yummy!!!!! We chose cheddar and melted in on top of the meat and the egg on the nice fresh Kaiser roll.

Not a particle left.

It is so good to share nice things from the different parts of this great country..

Thank you all from New Jersey.

I love this forum and all of my TOTV friends.

Default Taylor Pork Roll

Does anyone remember the Taylor Pork Roll Restaurant at Bellevue Avenue and the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ? It was an impossible choice to make between a pork roll sandwich or a flame charbroiled hamburger. Either way, best lunch around...

Since I don't know nuthin' about rolls, what kind of bun works best for this?

I am looking forward to a new culinary experience.
It also comes in an 8 pack. I have also seen it in a 1 pound solid piece.

Our tough choice was pork roll sandwich or Mack's pizza! Always had room for a Kohr's Bros ice cream cone though!
