And we can never forget

I'm going to Sheboygan
Sheboygan here I come
I'm going to Sheboygan
Sheboygan here I come
There is a crazy little Mercedez there
And I'm gonna get me one

I'm gonna be standing on the corner
Twelfth Street and Vine
I'm gonna be standing on the corner
Twelfth Street and Vine
With my little Sheboygan baby
And a bottle of Sheboygan wine

Riding on the City of Sheboygan,
Illinois Central Monday morning rail
Fifteen SL550's and fifteen restless riders,
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail.
All along the southbound odyssey
The train pulls out at Sheboygan -- eeee
Rolls along past houses, farms and fields.
Passin' trains that have no names,
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles.

And then I saw that post you wrote about the car song....ah, you must be a youngun. I signed my name Boomer Pearl. That was a hint. And I said the song was kinda bad. Makes me feel guilty when I sing it. I think my Sunday School teacher will hear me. I hope not being able to figure out what I am talking about does not drive you to drink Southern Comfort. (That's a hint, too.) Aw, c'mon, Pt. You gotta know this one.

Boomer McGee
Ok, it's Mercedes Benz. Funny thing is, I was actually thinking of this song when I wrote Mockingbird. It was just a late night brain fart. BTW, I LOVE Janis Joplin.

Now, here I sit, in Ohio, up way too late. Thinking of songs with geography in the title, a city, a state, whatever, so I can stick Sheboygan into the location part. It is way too late. I am not a nocturnal creature. Not normally. Can't stop thinking about those song titles.....Thinking...."Hard-Hearted Hannah, the Vamp of Sheboygan"....ohhhh, this is nuts. Actually. it is quite pathetic. I started this whole Sheboygan thing and now I cannot make it stop....."Sheboygan, Sheboygan, That Toddlin' Town".....Serves me right I guess. I started it.

Maybe if I tell Pt what the car song is that the CL550 Coupe put into my brain, I will be able to stop thinking of song titles I can use Sheboygan in....OK....the car song?...It was Janis Joplin's "Mercedes-Benz." (What was this thread about again?)

Goodnight....and I am not going to turn on this computer in the morning. Really...."I'm Walkin' to Sheboygan."...."I Found My Thrill On Sheboygan Hill"..... (Did I tell you that I just love the word 'Sheboygan'? Really. I do.)

Boomer, Face Down in the Stream of Consciousness Tonight
Yes Boomer, I think they are just going to come and cart us off. I just responded with the name of the song and now I read that you told me the song and now I look like I've lost my marbles. I probably left them in a hotel room in Sheboygan.

BTW,
If You are Going to Sheboygan
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair.

I haven't read the posts past this one of yours that I'm quoting and I'm praying no one else already told you what to wear in your hair if you're going to Sheboygan.

Default Ode to Boomer

Some folks like to get away
Take a holiday from the neighbourhood
Hop a flight to The Villages
Or to Colorodo woods
But I'm taking an SL550
On the long and speedy ride
I'm in a Sheboygan state of mind

I've seen all the movie stars
In their SL550s and limousines
Been high in Ohio under the evergreens
But I know what I'm needing
And I don't want to waste more time
I'm in a Sheboygan state of mind

It was so easy living day by day
No SL550s or HUGE Refrigorators
But now I need a little give and take
The Financials Times, The Kiplinger News

It comes down to reality
And it's fine with me 'cause I've let it slide
Don't care if it's Cinnci or the countryside
I don't have any reasons
I've left them all behind
I'm in a Sheboygan state of mind

I'm just taking a Mercedes on a long and speedy ride
'Cause I'm in a Sheboygan state of mind

Uh oh. It looks like Pt and I2 have caught the Sheboygan Fever, too. Oh my! I must warn you. It can be really, really difficult to stop.......I have been trying, but guess what......

"On Sheboygan! On Sheboygan!
Fight on for her fame"........

(You know what....something about that one kind of works. Don't you think maybe?)

And, Mr. Tony, Mr. Admin, Sir, thankyouverymuch. NOT. Now you have caused that "They're Coming to Take Me Away" song (sort of a song anyway) to be stuck in my mind, right there alongside Sheboygan.
