We have always had good food at TooJays in Brownwood. Never a problem with service either.

We eat home most of, if not all of the time. Best food in TV's.
We find most establishments overpriced and overated.
There is hardly a healthy option on any restaurant menus. Battered, fried, boiled to death, are the main things served.
As for deserts, if you like processed fruit and creams, plus loads of sugar etc. you are in heaven.
There is hardly a food, that has not had the life and goodness squeezed, boiled, pasteurised out of it.
As for the portion size! No wonder diabetes and obesity are the default state of many villagers.

Puts on tin hat and quickly retreats to nuclear shelter.

Maybe I am calmer than most people but one bad meal doesn't cause me to go ballistic. I just put in my memory bank to not order something that didn't taste good. This forum is famous for people complaining of every injustice, (big or small). Some deserved and some not. IMHO

Toojay's food is ok, but not the end all and be all.

I think Johnny Rockets village wrap is great for breakfast but it's a personal choice of where to eat.

BTW - I do love Toojay's cabbage soup.

Didn't send it back. Offered to pay for the coffee ( which was refused ) and left. Nice waitress though.

Later at 11 AM at Sumter Landing after going to the bank decided to give TOOJAYS another try. Always liked this location. The place was 4/5ths empty. Three people standing at the hostess station in front of us with no hostess in sight. Waited eight minutes and still no hostess to seat anyone. I am handicapped and can not stand in one place very long. We left without eating.

TOOJAY'S must be practicing for when the snow birds come back. Seriously though, where was the management ? How can they allow this nonsense to occur ? Brownwood has been bad from the beginning, but Lake Sumter, come on !
I had also expressed our dissatisfaction on TOOJAYS corporate web site and received an email from the Area Director asking me to call him. He also told me he monitors TOTV and had seen my post. I did so and he expressed concern about the situation and said he would look further into the matter and I believe he will. TOOJAYS appears to want to do the right thing by their customers and they deserve credit for that.

My favorite and I can bring half of it home for breakfast tomorrow. It's that big and good.

Obviously you do not. Few, if any, get a third chance.
I just think if I were unhappy with my breakfast at a particular restaurant I would be hard pressed to try the same chain for lunch on the same day. If that means I don't give second chances, so be it. You posted because you wanted people to know about your experience and I appreciate that. I am not a big fan of Too Jays anyway...
