Agree if I was going out to impress someone or some special ocasion there are some fancy big bucks places to go but if WE just want to go out with some friends, have a few and something to eat and chat for a while that's our go to place. About 12 of us last week no complaints from anyone.

I know a number of Villagers who were not even aware that it changed hands and that may account for the business. We'll see what happens over the next three months. Finally found the online menu (havanacc.com) and was not impressed. For an after golf lunch, sure, but for dinner? Only three things on the menu I'd go for: Shrimp cocktail, calamari, and Fish and Chips. The rest? Meh, same old same old. Here we are surrounded by ocean within an hours drive and the only non-fried fish on the menu is Salmon?? To each his own and if that menu floats your boat, Ok. But as I've said before, if I'm spending my hard earned money dining out, I want something worth spending that money for.

That article was for Hemmingway's before they left. You'd think the "Daily Happy News" could at least have updated that.

Although I’m new to TV....just retired 2 weeks ago (my wife has been in out new home since May)....I totally agree with you, Bonny....having lived/and visited around the world, it’s both narrow minded and shallow to understand judge a venue without visiting. Having routinely perused TOV blogs before moving here, I’ve seen so many people post blogs from their sofas... get off your tushes and experience life....the clock is ticking! As a comedian so appropriately said, “Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end of the roll, the faster it spins!”

High five to Bonny and her husband for enjoying life!!

Sadly most of us were the original Hemingway, still eating during the middle, and soon as the new group took over, we had hoped it would return to the original. Have now tried 7 meals, even though it’s 5 minutes from our house will take off our list, and just drive farther. Meals were lack luster, lacked flavor, and yes a Cuban that was microwaved. It’s a personal preference, hope new management will continue to make changes.

Again, looked @ the menu, very limited choices for our palate--after reading about the experiences who diners that I respect and their experiences, until the menus changes, we will not be stepping foot in Havana--we used to go to Hemingway's weekly

Had lunch after golf today . First since new ownership . I had turkey Panini with side of cold slaw and one iced tea. Wife had a burger(upgrade a buck for 1 slice of cheese) and one iced tea. Mine was all Panini with little inside. Wife's burger cooked very well done when waiter had assured medium. Very mediocre. $32.00( left $7 tip) . A bit pricey. Am not anxious to go back . Wish I could be more positive. Live close and would like to frequent.

several reports of soggy & chinzy sandwiches--what does an extra slice of turkey cost or an extra slice of meat in a Cuban--that penny pinching may end being the most expensive "pennies" in the long run

All I know is Bonny introduced me to Bang Bang Shrimp and I have never found an error in her judgement.

Bonny is nobody's fool. She is positive but she is also realistic. I consider her my TOTV friend but she and I have differing opinions occasionally. I think she is fair and discerning and reasonable.

She knows what she likes and she doesn't like and she is not a snob. Plus, I know her to be a good cook.
