I only got food poison once in my life, on a New Year's Day. Think it was a veggie dip thing from Costco on New Years Eve.. I only ate it to be polite, since it seemed like no one else had tried it yet! Been to India many times. And Indiana for that matter. Always been fine.

When I was a kid I ate yogurt followed by a tuna sandwich after a hot,hot day playing sports, and got sick, but I don't count that as it was a bad idea and I had to take responsibility. Never really ate yogurt again though. Just don't like the texture of it. Maybe it's better now.

But the gloves are off with this conversation.

Cody's is a Dump. Our neighborhood decided to have Thanksgiving there last year. We all sat down expecting a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner yea right . Most of us ordered Turkey a few ordered Ham.

The dinners ( All ) came out exactly alike. I asked where is the Dark Meat ...reply We ran out. Honestly the cuts were 100% exact .... Pressed Turkey Breasts... the Ham ? same.. Spent peanut shells all over the floor the place is a DUMP.

Hey they have a following tra la la la

PS: I did speak to the Mgr. His reply..... smiled shrugged his shoulder. They have a following so............. Enjoy

Good question. I only go for the bar food, peanuts, and ice cold beer.

Or the one from the cc where a baby mouse was in the salad.

Maybe it was a mistake, but in my mind I could never go back.

Years ago we had something similar happen at a very good and favorite restaurant. We were with another couple and my husband found a finger cot in his salad. We quietly called the waitress over, who was appropriately mortified, whisked it away, and asked if DH would like a replacement. He naturally declined, and by then I decided I really didn't want mine either. Our friends sent theirs back as well, and we waited for our entrees. Our waitress was back shortly with a hilarious (but unrepeatable) explanation and apology, and said the manager comped the whole dinner for all four of us. We have told the story many times, without naming the restaurant, because the manager acted perfectly and salvaged the whole evening. I do confess to being a little suspicious of my salads to this day, but happily, have yet to find any unexpected ingredients.

The peanut shells on the floor add to the atmosphere of Cody's. I've seen this done in other eating establishments. Texas Roadhouse is another restaurant in close proximity that also has peanut shells on the floor.

We bought the super bowl take home dinner which had ribs, wings, chicken, salad, and rolls. They have a few steak selections but the ribeye I've had was always cooked to my liking and a decent cut.

That is horrible! Also a server there told me all their salads are bagged lettuce they open and plate... AND their dressings are Kraft bottled and their soups canned and they doctor it up!
