Another vote for Commander's Palace in New Orleans.
The original Ninfa's on Navigation, Houston.

I miss Chatbrat and his unique reviews of food, drink, and everything else.

Gondola Restaurant in Lebanon, Tennessee, near Nashville, has fabulous Pizza, and Greek and Italian cuisine.

I remember Ninfa's. Excellent Tex-Mex in the barrio. Muy autentico including la cucarahchas running up the walls.
