I don't normally drink Bass but was surprised to find it was no longer available. One of my favorites is Boddington's but it too has all but disappeared.

There are more and more small breweries turning out good beer. It has to be hard to try to have everyone's local favorite on tap, find room for the excellent standards from outside the US, and also have something for the Bud/Millers/Coors drinkers.

I've been there many times when you could not find a seat. Not sure what is needed to qualify as "a well performing location." We shall see.

There have been several tries to re-structure some of the bankruptcy laws but to no end. In another life, I saw time after time where top executives took down very large salaries for several years with the final plan to bankrupt the company in the end. Employees and creditors got “screwed”, millions are made, and life goes on. Yes, mostly all legal.

You have to know how to work the system at the top of the economic ladder just like some who know how to do the same at the bottom of the economic ladder. Then us folks somewhere in the economic middle wonder why our taxes are so high. Still we are fortunate to live in the best Country on the planet. Fore!

You can actually get to The Sunny Pint on 44 by golf cart. It ain't easy, but it can be done. You can also park in the lot just east of there and walk across the grassy area if you don't want to drive on the bumpy path at the end.

Well, I'm happy to learn it wasn't just our World of Beer, and probably had nothing to do with the other Spanish closures.

To be honest, I was always a little disappointed with the beer selection at every World of Beer I've been to. It was mostly just bottled beer. But the overhead of maintaining a huge variety of craft beers must have been staggering, even just bottles. It's a tough business model, and the craft beer craze has about run its course. I guess it was inevitable.

I was just at the Brownwood WOB a week ago Monday for their special and had the best service and burger that I've ever had there. Food was out quick, which was previously a rarity

We liked WoB. It was on our "rotation" of places to go when the cousins visited. I liked the black+blue steak flatbread or the burgers. Not a beer drinker though.

WoB at Brownwood was very good most of the time. The Monday burger was a great value as well. Hopefully they survive bankruptcy.

While most of the food was good, it certainly wasn't one the more efficiently run places that I've seen. It was funny that the place would be jam packed sometimes with a lineup of people out the door, but at the same time half of the tables are just waiting for their bill to come, or a table to be bussed.

The slow service was the part we didn't like, at all. We tip people based on service, not quality of food. They usually got the minimum 15% tip. It wasn't horrible - but they did the bare minimum, and so that's what they earned.

Often the bartender wouldn't even acknowledge that the waitress was waiting for drinks to bring to our table and we'd wait 10 minutes for him to make it. Even if it wasn't busy and everyone at the bar had already been served.
