A home sous vide runs about $75 to $150. Well worth the cost, no brainer to use, and you will wonder how you got along without it.
We have 2 commercial sous vide, for about 6 years. We had 8 NY strips that once steak is at mid rare, it stays at that cook temp. I use a culinary blowtorch to give them sear all at once, then serve the perfect steak. Great way to have dinner for 1 to 10, and more. Plus you can enjoy your company without babysitting the meal. Amazon has home use units for great prices, try for 30 days if it doesn’t complete your dinner experience send it back

TOTALLY forgot to mention, if you have (or get) a Wildwood Elementary School Booster card (we get both that and the Buffalo card annually to support the schools), you get an ADDITIONAL 10% off any order at Best Meats. We just stopped by after lunch, loaded up on 8 porterhouse steaks 1.5" thick, and total after the 10% off was $95. Win-Win-Win! Help the schools and local, small business. (and us too!)

Prime steaks
Cheap price, poor value. I've had both prime steak and lamb from this store.....don't waste ur time. Horrible taste to lamb & beef taste worse than choice meat!

I have
Bought "Prime" rib eyes.. not even close to CHOICE.
Once your inside, does not even feel like a butcher shop. Best I could describe would be an Aldi's that has has a lot of frozen meat. (I'm not an ALDIs shopper either) Prime Steak at $6.99 ? Do I hear RYANs or Ponderosa ?? |

[QUOTE=Stu from NYC;2036095]Went today out of prime, bought a T Bone for tomorrow and shall see how good it is.[/QUOTE
Would most interested in your review please. Having been stationed in TX and NE, we like good beef, and find it has been very good from Best Meats. Of course, cooking it correctly has a lot to do with it as well. Some people refuse to eat meat that has not been way overcooked. Last edited by Koapaka; 12-03-2021 at 02:19 PM. |

Well I was in the area this morning so stopped in. The butcher cut 2 porterthouse steaks for me. Just curious, is it true that most steaks are cut when the meat is partially frozen ? We will see how they are this weekend. Ill post

All beef sold in US is USDA inspected. Not all is USDA graded - FOR EXAMPLE Winn-Dixie's RANCHER'S HOME LABELLED BEEF (which I believe is imported). So that W-D meat manager lives in a glass house.
