Of course, everyone has their own preferences. But I really like their bakery. Especially the triple chocolate crème cake, the croissants, the naan bread, the Italian bread, the brioche hamburger buns, and so much more.

And the prices are about half what you pay in the other stores.

We had the luxury of 3 family owned bakeries up north, store bought is a no.
There isn’t anything baked wise I would buy at Aldi, WD, or Publix. If we eat carbs, whole grain bread from TJ’s or their scones, which a loaf of bread or 4 scones lasts us 4-6 weeks.
We don’t eat much processed food. The sugar alone in Aldi bakery for one item is more than we would eat in a week.

I doubt that many Sprouts/Wholefoods type shoppers visit Aldi. Aldi is based on value and convenience.

There’s actually 2 new locations.
I believe most are talking about the one in Sumter, replacing the WD.
But there is a second one, also replacing a WD, on the south west corner of 48 & 27. The south road entrance to Floridas Turnpike and south of Carters Ave Hardware. Not golf cart accessible, but convenient when in that area.

I’m sure anyone writing that article has an objective. The reason for the article was likely to push a POV . Sprouts is great and so is Aldi.

Correct, but don't tell the Family we're leaving the bubble! For those of us down here near Eastport - and especially those of us in Lake Denham and Dabney - Leesburg is our hidden gem and this coming soon new Aldi (in an former Winn Dixie) is in the same lot as the Seafood Shack, Brooklyn's Pizza, and across the street from a Publix...so since the Publix at Eastport won't be opening this year, if ever, there's a great alternative to spend our retirement outside of the bubble / Family's coffers.

I buy milk, eggs, coffee creamer, at Aldi. All are about 2 bucks cheaper than Publix, Winn-Dixie. Then shop the frozen section for different items. Last two weeks had Wisconsin Cheese Curds 5 bucks for box. Great cheddar cheese and not much coating. Aldi employees make on average 5 bucks an hour more than Winn-Dixie, that is for checkout jobs. Publix maybe make a buck more than Dixie. I only know this because I worked at Publix 19 years and my wife worked Dixie. Pay scales clearly posted in break rooms. I know checkout lady at Aldi and they can sit down whole shift. Sometimes they have to stock shelves but that’s it, used to unload trucks but not anymore.
