This is especially directed to the members of the Miata club. Which dealer around here will give me the best deal on leasing a Mazda MX-5?

IMHO, you will need to call or visit the dealers, the lease rate will probably be tied to YOUR credit score. You could probably do an internet search to get a range of rates before you go to the dealer.

This vehicle sales are way down right now. Here is the national lease deal. Always better to go with the national offer instead of negotiating a lease with the dealer.
$379 / Month2024 MX-5 Sport (RWD / Manual Transmission)$379 a month / 36 months
$2,499 due at lease signing.

Don’t tell the you want to lease. Negotiate the sale price of the vehicle you want first!!! Then ask for lease payment. If you ask for lease price payment will be based of a number $$$ they choose. Negotiate Price!

A lease comes down to essentially two numbers; the money factor and the depreciation. The “price” of the car is only part of the depreciation calculation. You would also need to negotiate on the residual value of the car, and also the money factor. See post #5.

I see all the suggestions for how to best shop for a car lease (eg, first determine sale price, money factor, depreciation, residual value, etc). Yikes. Sounds exhausting. Instead, why not just email the 5 closest dealers of the brand you want, tell them exactly what car you'd like to lease (eg, year, color, trim line, etc), tell them you are shopping for the best deal, and ask them for their best (lowest) monthly lease payment for 36 months with zero down. As a kicker, ask them to deliver the car to your house. Thoughts?

I bought my cx-30 at sport Mazda in Orlando. Process was fair but very slow. It took 2 days to finalize the deal. I would probably go to Mazda in Clermont. Much closer and you will probably get a comparable deal.

I bought a Mazda from Sport Mazda South in Orlando. Very easy to do business with. So I would expect to find the same if I were to lease. I'd go back there again when I need another vehicle.

It sounds like you are looking for one single dealer to work with. Bad idea. You need to contact at least 5 in the area by phone. Advise you are calling several dealers looking for best cost Let them know you are interested in leasing and are ready to sign immediately for the right deal. Do not go in to dealer without signed paperwork from dealer. Make certain you receive detail pricing including cost of Miata, money factor, residual and all other fees. Make sure you fully understand lease terms including mileage, time and damage limits. Purchase incidental damage insurance if reasonable. Do not set foot in dealer until all terms worked out. Walk if dealer changes anything from agreed upon numbers. The better the competition you seek by phone, the better the deal. Good luck. Have fun. It’s your money so you make the rules.

I’ve purchased three Mazda CX-5 In the last 5 years. I can’t give you any help in the leasing area as I didn’t go that route. But when my car was in for service I did overhear a salesman telling the client that leasing was the better way to go. So I’ll check that out if I ever get another car,
I checked several Mazda dealers. Classic Mazda near Orlando airport had the best prices on CX-5. Check them out for sure.

National deals are the way to go. You don't have to deal with the local dealers confusion.
I found this national deal.
$379 / Month2024 MX-5 Sport (RWD / Manual Transmission)$379 a month / 36 months
$2,499 due at lease signing.

Just look here for other lease offers.

The 2 closest Mazda dealers are Jenkins in Ocala and Headquarter Mazda in Clermont. I have my Mazda serviced by Headquarter and am very happy with the service there. I went to Jenkins for service and was not impressed with the service there.
