Curious if Real Soft Serve Ice Cream is available in The Villages if so where.
I can remember Carvel years ago had a store near Target in Lady Lake, they ( Carvel ) were the very best Soft Serve Ice that I have ever had...Carvel Ice Cream where are you ?

Carvel soft serve ice cream seems to be part of my past. Now we have Culver's custard and I MUCH prefer the Culvers. Love the mix-in's they offer. My favorite concoction is vanilla or chocolate custard with Heath Bar crunch and topped with salted caramel. Nothing better than that and certainly better than anything Carvel offered.

Try Dairy Queen on 301.

Island Fin Poke Bowl in Brownwood has a soft serve.

I think it’s water based (sorbet) vs dairy. But I’m not sure.

It is good !

Many years ago, I use to work for Colombo Frozen Yogurt.

To each their own taste, Culver’s to me taste like McDonald’s and seem not all that cold. I prefer Dairy Queen over Mick D and Culver’s.

Weird. I think McD tastes more like DQ. Culvers is richer (custard has egg yolks -> higher fat content). But they're all really good, and I wouldn't turn my nose up at any of them.

The problem with McD is that the ice cream machine isn't working too often.

The add-ins are great, but add a ton of calories. Kinda like spirits and mixers.

Funny story about that. I was going to Arby's and ordered from the app, including a jamocha shake. When I went in to pick up my order, the lady said that the shake machine was down. I said, "who do you think you are, Mcdonalds"? She got a kick out of that. It's the only time I've been there that the machine was down.

There are two DQ's: one on 301 and one on 27 in south Leesburg. I heard that a Twisty Treat was supposed to open in Pinellas plaza by the end of 2025.

Twisty Treat is my favorite as what they lack in quality they make up for in quantity......although heath bar blizzards at DQ are hard to beat.

Can't fathom not finishing a Blizzard, regardless of size once it is in my hand. It's like eating only one Lay's potato chip: Not possible. You are my hero.

Actually it is because I have type two diabetes and forced to watch my sugar. Bought the large one a few weeks ago on points and it lasted for four servings. Was very proud of myself.

I like ice-cream. I like "soft-serve" (ice-milk?). Not a fan of frozen yogurt. Frozen custard is, imho, disgusting. Just can't stomach the stuff. But that's just me.
Eat what you like. It could end up as your last meal. 😉
