How does the sprinkler system lines run in the back yard of a patio villa

I doubt these will be the same, but you might get lucky. IMHO, I would contact home warranty to see who installed the irrigation and then see if they can help you locate the pipes. I am not sure if irrigation lines are covered by the 811 (call before digging) system, but you could try that also. At our house (NOT a patio villa), the lines run in a straight line between sprinkler heads, and very close to the house back to the control valves, and along the property lines.

I called 811 recently for a landscaping project. No one marked any of the water lines on the user side of the water meter(s). My experience (owned only two houses with irrigation systems) is that the installers run the trencher in long straight lines with 90-degree turns.
