Default Need help planning Honeymoon in Florida

Recommendation for Honeymoon in Florida please!

My daughter is getting married mid August '27 and she and hubby want to take a quick honeymoon and stay domestic since she starts grad school early Sept '27.

They'd love something relaxing and spa like... beach accessible. But they are early 20's so maybe a little night life... not a lot. They just want to wind down after the wedding and relax for a while.

Ca anyone please recommend a nice SMALL spa like resort very close to the beaches?

They were thinking of the keys but I don't know a lot about that. I've been to Key West several times but not lately...and not sure what to suggest for them.

Anywhere else in the keys?

Thanks everyone!!

Florida in the middle of August for a honeymoon? I'd suggest - not at all. Maybe somewhere in North Carolina, or Virginia Beach. They have a better chance of actually enjoying the beach rather than suffering through it.

Thank you OBB!

I've been advised against the Bahamas and St Thomas. Anyone have thoughts on these places?

Fly into St. Thomas then get the boat to St. John. Absolutely beautiful island and much safer than St. Thomas.

Thank you so much for this suggestion!

But it's their honeymoon and I don't want them dodging "safety issues" if they want something quiet and spa like.

Go on a short cruise - Miami, Fort Lauderdale, or Port Canaveral are all options. All meals and entertainment provided.

Spa services are extra.

Safety is not an issue.

Don't forget Tampa and Jacksonville...we have five ports in Florida.

Take a three or four day MSC cruise out of Port Canaveral, and do the Yacht Club. There is a spa on the ship that is included and great, plus a personal butler, a separate dining room with great food, a separate bar and lounge, and Ocean Cay which has a private beach and restaurant for the yacht club, even a private pool and buffet with butlers. It is a ship within a ship away from the crowds in the rest of the ship. If it’s a honeymoon it should be special. I’ve done it several times (no, not honeymoon's) and have more scheduled.
