I have been using Sorko lawn services for the past year. I have been pleased with my service guy as he seemed very knowledgeable. I was supposed to get a follow up for a weed treatment and when I called in, I was informed he no longer works there. This seems to be my major complaint with all these companies. It’s not the companies that are bad, it’s the technicians they send out. There is such a high turnover in these companies, that you typically get someone that is totally unskilled with that Industry. I am looking for a suggestion for a smaller company to do Lawn fertilization and weed treatment through out the year when needed. I am NOT interested in Massey, deans or any other larger company as I will suffer the same outcome as Sorko. Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

To me, your logic sounds flawed. If you hire a small company, there is a high probability that the entire company will disappear.

Fertigator has been great for fertilizing, lubber control and weed control. Son Life for landscape bed weed control and mowing.

LOL. I once got a written quote from Son Life to trim my shrubs for $470. It took the guy longer to prepare the quote than it would have taken him to actually trim the shrubs. When he called back about the quote, I told him that I have never paid more than $80 to have my shrubs trimmed.

Florida Pest Control based in Leesburg. They do lawns and bugs.

No guarantees on how long your / any lawn technician will last from any company. Working outside in the Florida heat, applying a hazardous chemical and dealing with people. Who wants to make a career out of that?

But these guys are not run of the mill. They pay good, have 401k, paid time off and a pretty good medical / dental plan.

Will you pay more for their service…probably. But I’d highly recommend them.

Son Life serviced my neighbors lawn. One week the mower guy drove into their light post and nocked it down. They tried to fix it, failed. Tried two more times over a months time before they got it right.

The next issue was when they started mowing my lawn instead of his……they soon realized their mistake. Needless to say, they’re not doing his lawn anymore.
