Default Great to see guys from Relic again! a.k.a. Dead Radio Music

They were at Brownwood last night, great snow, and everyone let them know how they were missed. As I understand it, they're all from original Relic except the Base player! Mitch said they're coming again to TV on Nov 5, but I forgot to ask where. Don't want to miss it! Their FB is Dead Radio Music, if interested but I don't see a show listing anywhere on FB.

Dead Radio at Sawgrass on 11/5 appears on a couple of Villages Entertainment publications (Monthly Happenings, What's Happening at Sawgrass).

I was able to stumble into these off thevillagesentertainment.com but I don't know a good way to find them.

Out of curiosity I looked this band up on YouTube Music.

OMG.. Whoa. If you don't mind " Screaming & Hollering " then this is for you.

I cannot imagine being at an enclosed concert with this group, they are so outrageously LOUD!!! On top of that it was difficult to understand what the singer yes the so called singer (Vocalist) was Screaming about. Screaming/Shouting. Wow !

Hey everyone has their like or dislike in music. # 1 This was not " Music " it was people making " Noise " Very Loud Noise !

This group is on YouTube & it was at Brownwood The Villages, Big Crowd.

I am certain the next day everyone near that stage had a hard time hearing anything at all.
I like a wide variety /of music from ELO, Earth W & Fire, Kool & the Gang, Bee Gees, D. Warwick, Ambrosia, & others. This group reminded me of Clueless Teenagers having fun with musical instruments that they had no idea how to play them especially the drummer!

So, you're obviously without firsthand information. The band isn't that loud, but they do play a lot of 60s, 70s, 80s, and some 90s rock music. If anything, I felt Mitch could have upped his mic volume last night. Seriously, in TV outdoor venues, it isn't any louder than any other rock style band. The group as Relic was by far the most popular at the time and jammed everywhere they played.

Hey as I mentioned I watched this on YouTube from start to finish. Granted there was a decent crowd, that said, I didn't see anyone dancing.
I can tell you from experience the Villages Squares are 100% into hardcore dancing from the Line Dancers, Couples, & those who just want to Dance alone & enjoy themselves.
Not a single person as in ______________________________ that's right .

I'll stick with the opinion of this group, Very, Very Loud, and Extremely Boring.

That said I wish them all the Best Luck.

Every resident has the opportunity to attend music venues. We can hear music from Brownwood, for every event. My parents would have the same opinion as you “VERY LOUD”….younger residents equate to different music preferences. It’s ok not to love same music as parents or kids.
The band in question wasn’t any louder sitting on our lanai than any other night. One has total control of volume on Utube, or the option of skipping to the next offering

So the band is so loud and performs so poorly that the dance space was shoulder to shoulder with little room to move let alone line dance. And this after they have been absent from the squares for over a year.

Had we not had a previous engagement we would have been some of the shoulder to shoulder people. We probably will be on 11/5.

If I had my may we would have more bands like Dead Radio, X-Girlfriend, Penta, Spazmatics, 789's, etc. But that doesn't mean I can't appreciate that country bands, 50s bands, and others play well and draw their own crowds.

As for very loud - the little sound meter on my phone tells me I like the volume when it reaches about 95dB. Most of the bands play at about 80dB in the squares. Dead Radio may have played at a volume I would appreciate.

Fine, " To Each His Own ". My last comment on this subject is crystal clear to most>
Take a page from this. You Tube Music " Jeff Lynn's ELO Orchestra " , Glastonbury 2016. A Band that was far ahead of it's time & entertained people of most ages.

One of his last songs that he wrote was " Last Train to London ". ELO no longer performs.

The last few years all there has been > Screaming, Shouting, Rambling, Talking Nonsense about Nothing in Particular that most do not understand.

For those who enjoy that " To Each His Own ". In Closing.

PS: This Song. How Do You Keep the Music Playing, Composed by " Michel Legrand " that song will last like many others likely forever.
The End.

Dropkick Murphys are a hoot. How can you not love Celtic Punk?

All y'all who complain Relic is LOUD - tell us again about the time you didn't get to go to a Who concert.
