After talking to the Master Gardener, I was advised to NOT trim the palms, so I now let nature take care of the fronds, and I save several hundred dollars per year. Mine need a manlift to trim, last time I had them trimmed it was around $500 for the equipment and manpower.

As a follow-up on my 1st reply;

You may want to seriously consider getting rid of the Palm Tree(s).
I had (4) & got rid of them, 1st they provide nothing at all, a nuisance, & lastly costly for trimming & seed pods are _____________ Fill in the blank.
Again just a suggestion. For me it was a good decision.

Tree Frog owned be Kanani Morris. ISA certified Arborist. He is a former Navy SEAL. No one better. Has all needed equipment. I have some very large palms he has trimmed. He also has had to remove about 6 huge palms. One had to be removed to not damage 2 stone decorative islands. He was on the mark. 352-446-5043

Can this company trim the tall palms by climbing a ladder or do they bring heavy equipment on the property?

When I had them to my property, they had heavy equipment, HOWEVER there was no damage to my lawn. They were very professional, but as I stated in a previous post, I now let nature trim the palms.

How tall is tall? I have a pruner that a bought at home depot that reaches 14 feet. I am afraid of heights, but I can stand on the ground and with my height and arm reach and I can prune a bit over 20 feet. That is not tall enough for very tall palms but works for my medium height ones.

Teams come through our neighborhood (up near the Savannah Center). While the guys trim a regular customer on the street, the two women go door to door asking if you want your palms trimmed. One must be the mother and can't speak English. The daughter will quote about $120 to trim my 2 tall Queen Palms. I can negotiate that down to $80 cash and they still do it that same day. Don't know their name. I'll post it if they show up soon.
