Checked one last time with Humana Medicare Advantage yesterday and they still show none of my Centerwell doctors in network. I told them that this was odd since they're both owned by the same parent company, they had no explanation. United Health it is then.

You can check your Medicare Advantage plan to see whether your doctors are in network.
If they’re still in network and still work for Centerwell they probably accept your plan. |

Centerwell is IN NETWORK for all of the CarePlus and Humana Medicare Advantage plans available in the Villages area. It was a pretty big question for me, since I have United Health currently. No issues with United Health, I but CarePlus has a $170 monthly give-back compared to the UH's $15 giveback, and the CarePlus out-of-pocket max is only $800 more than UH. So no matter what I'll be ahead of the game with CarePlus.
I had to call both CarePlus AND Centerwell to confirm it. If you put the name in wrong it won't show up. It's something like Centerwell Senior Vitality or some such. |

I was lucky been centerwell patient for 10 years. When Humana office side closed the grandfather me in to villages healthcare side which primarily UHC. Evidently centerwell has separated insurance providers. If I hadn’t been grandfathered in I would’ve had to drive to Leesburg or off cR44 for far north. Now I’m within 4 miles of office.

They were all incorrect. Centerwell is in network for two of the CarePlus plans, but NOT for the CarePlus Carefree Platinum Giveback plan. I had to cancel my enrollment for next year with the CarePlus plan, and will be re-enrolling in United Health plan today. It's a nightmare. The reason it's so screwed up - the left hand doesn't know that the right hand exists, let alone what it's doing. You look on the website for CarePlus - and checking the provider directory takes you to the Humana/CarePlus directory page. You have to pick your network. But there are only two networks listed, and you don't know which one to pick. So you call them - and they tell you which one to pick. You check your doctor's name or Centerwell and voila - there they are, in network! Except - that wasn't the network you needed, and the one you need isn't even one of the two provided for you to choose from. So you call them again to verify and unconfuse yourself, and they call CenterWell in Santa Barbara. An hour later they call you back to tell you nope - not in network. It is an absolute nightmare. |

Well, that should’ve be problem, THEY should HAVE to accept ALL insurance being that we have to have it? (Or is ACA optional now) And especially Medicare or any other federal health insurance program? But we know how that worked out don’t we, kickbacks

Shouldn't Centerwell publish a list of the plans that they will accept? That's what I'm waiting for. I'm not great at looking things up.
