Hello fellow Villagers. My husband and I did the lifestyle preview in August and fell in love with The Villages. We have several friends who live here and have told of the wonders and beauty there. We had to see for ourselves. Well - it convinced us. We came home and sold our home here in PA and bought our home in The Villages. We closed on it on 12/27 and we are now the proud owners of a new home in Gilchrist. We leave PA on Wednesday and head down to our new home! Can't wait. BTW - my husband is a Grandfathers clock repairman for anyone of need of one. Looking forward to meeting many of you soon when we become permanent Villagers!! Woo Hoo!!

Congrats on your new home. I hope the moving process goes well. I know it can be exhausting, but keep your eye on the prize. I'll bet you won't miss the snow.

Yay!!! We are now permanent residents of The Villages. Arrived about 2 weeks ago along with our kazillion boxes! I finally emptied and put away the last box and can't tell you how thankful that is done! If I never have to unpack another box - I won't be unhappy!! Haha We moved into Gilchrist and have met several of our awesome neighbors. We are already loving it here!! So glad to have finally arrived! Hope to get our part time clock repair business up and running soon too.

We just closed last month and had to come home to sell our house. Unfortunately we left all the paperwork at the Villages and are trying to determine when it is best to go back. We want to attend the Newcomer's Orientation. That's not the homeowner's association or CDD. Does anyone know the days, times, and location of these? I remember it being twice a month, but I want to know which days. Thank you!
