Smile grandchildren

My grandchildren (ages 8 and 5) are coming for a visit within the next month. Since I am new to the villages, I would appreciate any info on where to take them, what kind of recreation is there for them. Any ideas are welcomed as I want to make their stay as pleasant and fun as possible. Thank you.

Family pools
Golf cart rides
Feeding birds at ponds near Glenview
Miniature golf at course near American Legion
Give the parents time to themselves because the kids always behave better when the parents are not around

Wonderworks in Orlando is interesting if you don't want to spend the Disney money. Links below will give you information on Wonderworks. Good place to go if weather is not so great. Allow several hours at Wonderworks as there is a lot to do there and the kids and adults will enjoy it. About an hour away by the Orlando Convention Center.

Kids love doing The Villages things that we have here.

.........Skip the Disney ......
................take them all to 777 Princeton St Orlando FL.
One hour from The Villages.

In MY Humble Opinion...Probably the FINEST Science Center in the NATION.

All the Grands and GrandParents and Parents usually love this place.
I even do the Chemistry Experiments...

Kids and Adults have 4 floors of Science, Tech, Engineering and Math.

Kids can even do Archaeological digs ...complete with hard hats, vests,
shovels and brushes, on one of the floors..

Parents $19. Oldies.$17. Kids $13...ALL INCLUDE a $7 ticket to
related in-house Movie .( some in 3-D )

USUALLY........ON the FIRST FULL weekend.. admits are FREE.. for each person who has a
Bank of America (or Merrill Card) with name on it. Check with BoA to be sure.

Park in the Ramp...$5. .... a Skyway goes direct to Science Center.

.. a Subway Sandwich shop on 1st Floor and 60 restaurants within
2 miles .
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Next to Science Ctr. is Orlando Museum of Art. $8 ...and worth more.

At bottom of parking ramp is another museum ,The Mennello Museum. Usually Free also on Bank of America Days ,,AND on Second Sunday for Everyone.

Plus you are also only 3-ish miles from Morse Museum of Tiffany Art..
in Winter Park,
