Default Musicians:60's and early 70's classics-let's play

Break out the instruments, knock off the dust and let's revive that musical experience that thrilled us in the Sixties and early Seventies. Back when Rock and Roll was still fresh - before the days of multitrack overdubbing, techno-pop alterations and over distorted guitars wailing ear piercing volume fit for 50 thousand seat arenas. We're talking American Bandstand type music which can be performed live. If you are a musician who cut your musical teeth on this era and have an interest in getting together to play and have great fun doing it then I want to hear from you.

Guitar, bass, drums and keyboard players come together and we'll do all of those tunes we knew so well "way back then". This was easy to play music, 3-5 chords with familiar riffs and melodies so you don't have to be a musical genius to enjoy playing. All to have to do is be able to keep to the beat, sing on tune and not be afraid to have fun! Call it a "club" or call it a "band" just get in touch with me if you are interested then we can figure out places to meet and play. I would like this to be a positive and encouraging experience for all of you "more mature" musicians who would like to play again but can't find a suitable outlet to fulfill this desire.

Either send a private message or email sixstringmusic@yahoo.com and I will get back to you as we develop a list of interested persons. Let me know what instrument you play and a general description of your perceived skill level and whether you do vocals or not and what songs/artists you are interested in covering. Fun for all!

Hey there. I'm not in the Villages yet just browsing the posts. I'm a drummer and will be looking to jam.

Where do full bands practice, jam, etc, in private homes? Any noise issues to worry about?
