Default checking out the lifestyle for a month

Hi, we were visiting the villages back in Sept. We are thinking of moving down but we want to really check out the place. We are thinking of renting a house for a month in May when the rates go down. Does anyone have any advice? We want to check out homes but we can't buy one until we sell our s in Wv Any help will be appreciated thanks

That's exactly the approach I took. I rented a cottage home in St. Charles in May and tried all types of groups, classes and got a real feel for the Villages. Of course, bought a house during my last week of that trial period. I would even suggest renting longer, to get a real feel for where you want to live, what things you are most interested in doing. Maybe 2 or 3 months at minimum.

Find out if the love bugs also visit in may - you might want to wait until they leave before you visit!

I would start by making a list of "must haves" for your home, and where it will be located. A list of "nice to have" assuming your buying a pre-owned home.

There are many decisions you will have to make, so I would start, before you get here. In time, things will become clearer, as you move along, in your thought process.
