Lots of folks will post about the Waterfront Inn at Lake Sumter Landing - but I can't give it props beyond the fact that it is convenient. So I dug this out from one of my Dec '13 posts:
"...there are other accommodations in the villages besides the waterfront inn. near spanish springs town square you will find the mariott town suites - about $125/day and offers continental breakfast, kitchen facilities, golf cart accessibility and a convenient walk into the town square. then there is the holiday in express for about $110/day and offering a full breakfast buffet daily, golf cart accessibility and a convenient walk where you can see a recreation center. and last there is the comfort inn for about $120/day - offering a full breakfast buffet daily and newspaper. those accommodations are located on hgwy 441/27 or near the original town square, lots of shopping and the originally developed and expanded areas of the villages."

Hope the info helps!

If you have never been here before, I would try the Waterfront Inn for it's dancing and covenience to LSL.

If you decide to stay at the Marriott, their breakfast buffet is pretty good, and a block or so from SS square.

Although I have stayed at the Marriott, the Waterfront Inn,I think is nicer with its accomodations and overall ambience.

Either way, you can't go wrong.

Have you tried booking, a LSV?

Default Villages hotels

The Waterfront Inn (waterfrontinnvillages.com) is the best centrally located hotel in the Villages. They will give you a 25% discount (from $159 to $119) if you give them a resident ID#. If you do not know anyone down here, PM me and I will give you my ID#.
