I am right handed and have been dealing with Tennis Elbow left arm, since December. I have a compression band (Walgreens) that I wear when golfing etc. the best thing I found was googling (actually bing) tennis elbow utube cures and watching a bunch of videos. The best are "tennis elbow pain relief, golfers elbow pain relief both by kconne and tennis elbow massage by douggrootveld1. This week I am trying Kinesiology tape. About 90% cured.

My husband had golf elbow a few years ago. He had a non surgical procedure called PRP (platelet rich plasma) and has had mo problems since. From what I understand, the take platelets from your plasma, spin the down and then reinfect them into your elbow. You are using your own blood to cure the golf elbow. Ask an orthopedic doctor about this.

Look for a golf elbow specific band. Tennis elbow and golf elbow occur indifferent places.

Interesting. I'm left handed and developed it in my right elbow. I went to an orthopedist, who prescribed a series of exercises to strengthen the elbow, some warm-up exercised before golf, and the compression band to wear during golf. I should have consulted U-Tube first.

I do not know how much you play but I incurred the problem when I was playing only 3 times a week a8 each. I used a band that pushed on the muscle that hurt so when I played it did not hurt then I had a short trip to a friends decided to play didn't have any clubs or anything else borrowed a set of graphite shafts played never felt a twinge. I now use all graphite shafts and have no tennis elbow and I am about a 10 handicap for me yea graphite

You can usually just turn the band to put the compression 'pillow' on the painful tendon. I've had to use one off and on for many years. Always seems to clear it up. Bought my compression band with the gel tablet at Walgreens (maybe $15 or so?).

Default Golf Elbow

I've had it more than once. It can be a ligament issue or something docs call ulnar neuropathy, where the ulnar nerve in your arm gets trapped in the notch of your elbow. I speak as a patient; not as a doctor, so pardon if this definition is not completely accurate.

Anyway, I had physical therapy for it. It was primarily an exercise where you extend the affected arm out fully and then, using your other hand, pull your wrist back for a count of 10. Then do it again, bending your wrist forward. Do this a couple times a day -- and especially before you play.

Google "golf injuries" for further insight.
