Hi, I'm from Oswego, NY and I purchased a new home in Charlotte last month with the plan to move there for the winters in 2 or 3 yrs. I hired a property manager and she already has it rented for the next 12 months.
Although I'm looking forward to playing golf and tennis, pickleball and enjoying all of my new friends I'm sure I'm going to meet, I'll have to stick to skiing, basketball, raquetball and snowmobiling for the next few years. What really sold me on the villages other than all of the amenities was how friendly everyone was and how much everyone loved living there. There really is no other place like the Villages in the world. Welcome.... sort of to you Brad and Jackie!
We also live in Charlotte. We moved in Christmas, the best thing we ever did. Absolutely love it here. Our neighbors are the nicest, kindest people. Just a great place to live. |

Hi Brad and Jackie
We are now in the process of purchasing a place on Countryside Path in Charlotte but like you won't be able to move in for a couple years. Who did you use as your property manager to get it rented? Curious if that is a long term rental and if you rented furnished or unfurnished? Thanks |

We used JVandD property management. We closed on Dec 27th and we rented it long-term
unfurnished begining Feb 1 for 1 year and hopefully longer. Good Luck. I think you'll find that whoever you hire will get it rented as long as the price is right. Its the right move to buy now. I'm sure of that!! |

We have been visiting The Villages since late 2010 when some friends moved down. Over the 6-7 trips is was clear the downturn was over. With the a massive number of boomers coming into retirement we figure that trend will continue for awhile. Thanks for the info.
