If you have bouts of shortness of breath, are probably a former smoker (God forbid that you still smoke!), please take the opportunity to attend this event:

At Colony Cottage Regional Recreation Center, Wed., 26 Feb 14, 8:00 am 'til 12:30 pm.

Representatives from The Villages Airheads (a support group for those challenged by emphysema and other breathing difficulties), the COPD Foundation, Family Care Givers (an in-home health care service), and the AARC (American Association for Respiratory Care) will be present to administer an easy 5-question test to discover whether you might have COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

The Respiratory Therapists will also administer a short spirometry test, which measures your breathing output and is a common method of initially diagnosing COPD.
