Default Golf course rating

I sort of remember seeing a list of the executive golf courses giving them different ratings from easy to difficult but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know if such a list exists?

Check out the Golf Magazine that came with the paper this month. If you don't have one get one at Chick-fil-a. They are free there.

Here's the link to the rating I think you were referring to. It rates the courses from 1 to 4.

I'm not sure how objective the ratings are but they are what they are. For example--- Southern Star is rated level 4 and Yankee Clipper level 3. Do you think Star is more difficult than Clipper? Obviously, on any of the courses it can depend on what tee box you decide to use.

Also true for Churchill(3) and Belmont (4). My understanding is you should play from the t box that allows you to get on the green in regulation. Far too many guy hit from the black on executive courses than should. I've asked a few why and have heard some strange reasons, my favorite was " I want to get my money's worth". How sad and it couldn't have been any fun.

hitting from the blacks and golds as men that should be playing it forward as far as the tees allow. Ego...that is often the reason...so is faulty reasoning...
