I recently became a new patient of St Lukes at Lake sumter landing. Very professional, and the doc (Dr Kimberly Ireland) was patient and very explained everything in great detail...and made sure I understood what I needed to do afterwards. I wouldnt hesitate to send my mom there.

I've been happy with Ocala Eye....they have several capable doctors there. I had Dr. Elmallah.

I second the Ocala Eye. I worked in Ophthalmology up north and did a lot of background checking. I also see Dr. Elmallah but they are all highly trained at top notch medical schools.

My husband and I both see Dr. Ireland at St. Luke's on Camp Mill. Second everything the previous poster said. Will definitely continue seeing her.

With Ocala eye you have to go to Ocala for the surgery which means having someone drive you and wait there. Not a big deal but more difficult for singles.

We've used Dr.Terpstra for several years. However, when St. Luke's opened in 2012 we switched and found Dr. Kimberly Ireland to be more thorough in her examination than Dr. Terpstra. So our personal recommendation would be St. Luke's located opposite the Waterfront Hotel. Dr. Ireland performs cataract surgery personally. Dr. Terpstra does not. She refers patients to another doctor in the Ocala Eye organization.

What lens did you decide to go with? Mono or Premium?
