Default hardwood floors

Has anyone used someone they love for hardwood floors? Or someone they would advise staying away from?

We have used Roberto's Flooring in Colony Plaza. (352) 633-1137
He has a second, larger showroom location in Oxford. It's called:

Floors of the Villages Kitchen & Bath, Inc. (352) 748-9663
3935 CR 216- Suite B
Oxford, Florida
( Look for a big, striped building)

This company is A-1 in my opinion

They have installed engineered hardwood and porcelain tile in our home.

Thanks, UptownGirl. Our beautiful granite is a testament to the value of your opinion.

Hi CFrance,
We did not get hardwood, but laminate. We used East Coast Flooring and I have to say that they were fabulous. The gentleman in the showroom took his time and walked us through picking out our floor. He did process of elimination until we got exactly what we wanted. I was a little confused on what I exactly wanted but the way he went about it, I was able to eliminate what I thought I might want but then realized I didn't. I ended up with exactly the perfect floor. The installers were great too and did a wonderful job. And unlike the other 2 estimates I got which were "this is a roundabout price....this price doesn't include if we have to do this or that", East Coast gave me a price and that was the price...period. I highly recommend them.

Without a doubt, East Coast Flooring! Jeff the sales man was helpful, but the real perfectionists, professionals are the installers. We had the molding removed, the hard wood installed and the molding reinstalled perfectly! This eliminates the quarter round molding that some floor installers use. Now it looks like the floor came with the house instead of being installed After purchase. It's all a matter of taste. My floor is breath taking! By the way, I had the whole house done, beautiful!

Word to the wise - stay away from Shaw flooring from any vendor. The have changed their manufacturing process and we have had a nightmare with our order. Boards coming in not square, not finished properly. No satisfaction from the manufacturer, they will not stand behind their processes. Our installers were shipped the flooring 4 times and between 4 shipments we were finally able to get enough good boards to finish.

I LOVE our floor. Came with the house. You could ask warranty who does it.

We are going to have a very weird setup where the living & kitchen areas are tile and the bedrooms are hardwood. All because of the den, which R wanted to have a cork floor on, but we decided it would fade too much.

Oh, well... it'll be our children's problem!

We had Shaw floors in our new built (2004) home in Winter Park. They were very soft and scratched easily. I'm sure the new owners in 2013 replaced them.

I had hard wood installed by Wildwood Flooring. The salesroom is not fancy, but his price and workmanship were terrific. I recommend Wildwood Flooring absolutely. They are located on 301 in the shopping center near the post office. Luis Atitles, the owner, and his sons are great to work with. 352-748-0200. After finishing my floors, neighbors used Luis.

We used Palm Coast Flooriing - they did an excellent job. The owners are also the installers. They did not require any payment until the job was done and we were happy. Todd and Charlie are the owners.
