The Lady Lake Parks and Recreation Department is once again seeking local organizations to sponsor games and activities for our annual "Easter Egg Hunt" on April 12, 2014. There is no cost to be a part of this event. Your game, candy and time are your fee. This event will start at 10:00AM and will continue till 12:30PM. Set-up for the event will start at 8:00AM. Just like last year, the event will be at the Junior Baseball Field on Hermosa St. next to the Lake County fire station. These are the fields located behind the Lady Lake Library. Please note that this year there will be no rain date.
The responsibilities of a sponsor are to provide and staff a simple children's game. It may be as simple as a sock toss. Let your imagination do the work. Please bring a good amount of candy for the children. Last year I was fortunate to have had a good amount donated, but please be prepared. I will have a few tables available, so please call and let me know if you will need a table and do not have one. In most cases, a card table will take care of holding your candy. Last year, we had around 2,600 people come to the event so keep this in mind as you prepare. You are more than welcome to put a banner up with you businesses information and pass out literature. This has proven to be a good low cost form of advertising and the community will have the opportunity to come and meet you while participating in your game.
