Default Future.... Rohan Regional Rec Center?

I just bought an updated $5 Villages map and was perusing the newer areas south of 466A.

It has the final regional rec center at the end of Morse named "Rohan Regional Rec Center" .... for John Rohan, director of recreation in TV???

I found that curious ... certainly puts him in good company with Gen Eisenhower

John Rohan has worked for the Villages for many years ... an interesting way to honor his service. Most "insiders" just get a road named after them. Not being critical as I think he does a good job with a huge program area under his purview.

Anybody have the back story on this? Perhaps could be a misprint too as I've had maps say one thing about a future feature and the real thing turned out to be different.

Alternately, a Lord of the Rings fan naming it after the horse loving kingdom...

Any idea as to when it will be built and ready to use?

Does the new map show any new softball fields in that area? Another thread awhile ago said there would be four new fields at the end of Morse Blvd.

Jan.... yes, the map does show the "Soaring Eagle" softball complex but with 2 fields not 4.

As far as the timing, I have no idea. I did see the water use permit for the softball complex published in the paper approx 2 months ago. Haven't seen the announcement for water management for the Regional Rec Center.
