Default Dress Code For Golf

We are coming for a preview visit in May and want to play golf and were wondering if there is a dress code. We will probably be renting our clubs instead of bring them with us. Does anyone know the cost of club rental?

I would recommend checking out the website ( golfthevillages.com ). It should have the information for you and phone numbers for any info not on the website. That's only help I can give.

Check the country clubs for club rental. http://www.golfthevillages.com/
A lot of good information here. http://www.golfthevillages.com/golf-...fGuide1.13.pdf
(Don't forget your check book! You may find the perfect house.)

golf courses. Tennis or golf shoes with soft spikes,
or shoes with no more than a 1-inch heel, are

without a collar but should
not expose the stomach and
must have straps at least
2-inches wide.
• Shorts or skirts must cover
the majority of the thigh.
• No overalls, tennis skirts, cut-offs
or biking shorts.
• Denim is allowed.
Dress Code for Men
• Shirts must have a collar and sleeves.
• Turtle-necks or mock turtlenecks are acceptable.
(Min. 11/4 inch collars)
• Shorts should cover the
majority of the thigh and may

Thank you for the information. I also called the pro shop today and got the information I needed. We will bring a check book just in case we find our perfect home. We are counting the days until we can enjoy the Villages in person instead of on line. I love how friendly everyone is and how people answer our questions so quickly.

It might be more cost effective to send your clubs UPS - don't know the rates but it's a thought. By the way if you are in your 20's and HOT they will let you play with very short shorts. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying it's a fact.

They, in this case are still trying to figure out the definition of "hot"!

Denim allowed here at The Village golf courses was the only difference we found from any other Club where we had membership. That part of the dress code was a surprise.

We always have extra set of clubs for our guests----sorry I don't know the rental charge or quality of the golf clubs. Last time I rented clubs (in Vegas 5 years ago) I paid $50.00.

I called the pro shop and the rate of clubs is $7.50 for 9 holes and $15.00 for 18 holes.

Thanks again for the replies/ I am already loving the people in the Villages.

Buy a set at Goodwill then donate them back. I've seen club sets in the $15 range (plus you won't have to worry if they get stolen or runover by a cart)
