Default VCR Repair - Yes I said VCR

Looking for someone to repair a VCR so that I can transfer old family tapes to DVD. Anyone know anyone local that does this? If so please email me at charles2226@comcast.net

You might be better off buying a new VCR/DVD combo than paying for a repair. They have them on Amazon starting at under $80 with free shipping. Most electronics are disposable these days.

Default Forgot to mention it is SVHS

I will look on Amazon but I think it may be quite easy to fix. Probably just a belt

Agreed. Pretty much guarantee the diagnostic charge alone will be more than the used purchase price.

The problem with buying a new VCR/DVD these days is that none of them come with a tuner. I am using an old VCR to provide the tuner to my new VCR that I bought online from Wal-Mart.

Try Cason and Gaskins in Wildwood. They are a Radio Shack dealer and also do TV repair, has been there forever. Good people and fair prices.
