Default Chicago Tribute Band at Savannah Center

We went to see the Chicago Tribute Band this evening at the Savannah Center. The band is called Beginnings after one of Chicago's hits. The band was terrific and everyone seemed to really enjoy the music. The horn section was really good as was the drummer and lead guitar but the singing was not really that good although they really tried hard. The lead singer who also played bass guitar may have had a sore throat from the earlier show. Anyway it was a fun night and my wife and I got to hear our wedding song - Colour My World.

He had a sore throat in the early show, too. It was a very good, high-energy show.

Awesome and fabulous show. - WOW

I thought the lead singer voice was better than the original Chicago singer. The guitarists, Johnny, could really rock his guitar. Great musicicans that I throughly enjoyed.

The only downside, there was no CD's from the "Beginings" band, as they explained Chicago, is still active, and touring.

The lady next to me complained they were too loud. They could have taken it down, a notch or two as I had my hearing aids out, for a while.

BTW - If you listen to "Colour My World", you realize it is basically a piano exercise, with some lyrics added to it. At least, that was what I remember about hearing, from it's author.

Good show! I loved the horn section too! If you have sensitive ears, use those spongey ear plugs!

Last night was a trip down memory lane for 35 years of my life. Growing up in Chicago I remember when they started as the Missing Links then the The Big Thing to Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and finally Chicago. This group captured the energy of the original group and had a great play list last night!

We attended the show last evening.....ENJOYED!!! The horn section was great, vocals...well some good, some not quite as good, but still an energy filled evening. ( I do have one complaint.....it was the loudest event I've attended in the seven years of enjoying shows in TV at The Savanah Center. Even my earplugs offered little relief. ) Those attending really seemed to be having a great time. BEGINNINGS must have been totally exhausted by evening's end...can't imagine having enough energy for one show, never mind two yesterday....

Terrific show. We went to the early show and the lead singer seemed to have trouble with his voice near the end but who cares. The band was awesome. What a horn section!

Fantastic show. So much energy. Amazed the drummer is only 20 yr old. The show knocked my socks off.
