Default Liquor Stores, anyone?

Hello people,

Now I know this is going to make some of you laugh. We were sitting around the table last night with our friends that we travel with and will be staying together soon when we leave for the Villages in just 24 more days but who is counting?? We were all saying we can't remember ever seeing a Liquor Store but they must be there. I know we have dropped into Sweetbay for a bottle of wine but I mean a real liquor store. I am not much of a drinker but I do enjoy the occasional glass of Dubonet and we were wondering where we would find that??
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Again I learn more and more from you guys. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Layaway Queen

Just kidding. I'll let a local answer for real, but I believe most grocery stores have a liquor department.

There is a liquor store right beside the Sweetbay in Lake Sumter Landing. However, Sweetbay is being taken over by Winn Dixie in a week, so not sure if Winn Dixie will keep that liquor store. There is a Publix liquor store right beside the Publix grocery store at Colony. There is also an ABC liquor store on 441/27 near Home Depot. WalMart on route 466 also has a liquor store.

ABC Wine and Spitit is the best liquor store around hands down. Great selection and good prices. They really know their stuff about what liquor is good for the price, as some brand names means you are paying for the name but only brands don't have the rep but taste just as good, as the man said to me, "you'll never tate the difference".

Was there last Wednesday, for a wine tasting event. $10 and you get a glass and food and you can try 75 different wines. One wine was called "The Ball Buster" from Australia. Great tasting Siraz wine, at $9 per bottle. I'm not making that up. The guy wanted te name the wine after his wife but she was too sweet, and he wanted a bolder name. He decided she could also be called, "TBB".

You can read about on the back of the bottle. No foolin!!!!

I guess he slept on the couch, for a while.

There's one in most strip malls and the larger, stand alone one is ABC! SAMs Club has one but choice is a bit limited and they only sell larger sizes!

ABC by Home Depot is the largest and best. Each Publix has a liguor store next door as does Sweet Bay, however as mentioned before Sweetbay is being bought out by Winn Dixie. There are plenty of liquor stores in TV. There is also a wine shop in L SL called Garfinos. TV has no shortage of booze anywhere. Good thing? Bad thing? I guess it is a matter of opinion.
