Default Publix coupons?

What's with the coupons in Villages' Publixes? I went to two of these recently and the signs by the groceries in the aisles do not match up with the specials in the kiosk coupon section. I tried to buy some Coca-Cola with a coupon that was near the soda and it said that you need to go the front of the store to get a coupon. But despite checking very carefully, I could find no $2.00 off coupon if you buy two 12 packs. Same thing happened with some cookies as well as with some TV dinners.

I should have asked the management but I am something of a milquetoast in person. I just bought something healthier which is a good thing!! I have found the people at Publixes here in the Villages very friendly and competent during the nine years I have shopped there.

That coupon you are asking about is in a separate circular in the kiosk. There is usually the regular sale paper and underneath it is two more papers. Sometimes they are out of those papers so you need to ask at the front desk for them.

There are coupons in a sales paper (printed on shiny paper) in the front of the store -- off to the side next to rental and sales magazines.

See, if it wasn't for the coupon mix-up, you would be eating cookies and drinking soda. You were very lucky.....

You can also download coupons onto your smart phone from the Publix website. Then, when you are checking out just punch in your phone number (into the card slider machine ) and your coupons will be automatically deducted from your bill. Ask any cashier about it.

Stand up and be counted..........drop that milquetoast image. Go to the service desk and plead your case.
You are so right, they are friendly and will accomodate your wishes!

Thanks for that link. Reminds me of their commercial which I saw yesterday with either an actress or an actual employee of Publix. There are two women who do this. Lynda and Nicole in separate commercials. I kind of suspect that they are actually Publix employees as I have never seen either of them in any other ads.

I had a funny experience in one Publix a month or so ago.

I was behind a man who was chatting with a girl whom I had not seen before cashiering. I also noted that a very attractive female manager was hovering at the next aisle but had the light off for new customers.

The man asked the cashier in training if she spoke Korean. She appeared of that ethnicity. The cashier said yes and they then started talking in Korean as the man said he had served at such and such in Korea during such a time.

The man had a thunderbolt of an idea and asked if this new cashier knew the pharmacist who the guy said was Korean.

The woman cashier said while trying to suppress a laugh-- 'I should, she's my mother!"

The hovering beauty of a Publix manager even broke out in a big smile.

I went to a third Publix yesterday in the Villages just to see if that had the same deal of $2.00 off of two 12 packs of Coca-Cola. Same deal. I looked for the woman Mimi I saw almost every week when she worked at the Villages' Blockbuster who I had seen after that working at that Villages' area Publix. She was not working today or maybe she quit or works somewhere else now? We sure have a lot of Publixes in the Villages! There were a lot in Palm Harbor too and I used many of these on a fairly regular basis from 1996 through 2005 and occasionally after that when I housesat for a friend of my mother in Palm Harbor.

I did not talk to the management at this 3rd Publix either. I am kind of drawn to that $2.00 for 2 12 pack coupon for some reason.

I did see some nice smiles of workers at this 3rd Publix while I was walking on by. Whenever I have some reason to be in the Lady Lake part of the Villages, I go to one or both of the Publixes on US 441/27.
