Default Any pools with deep shade?

We have noticed that the pools we have visited have scant shade from the pergola slats overhead.

Do any have deep shade? Just wondering. I'm a fair redhead (or was a redhead.....) and my family all burn easily. Just wondering if any of the pools might have more shade than others.

Hubby thinks limiting the shade limits loitering. Probably true. It is nice to have uncrowded pools!

Thanks!

It depends on the time of day we have gone and found shade under the pergola at the tables in the corners, or under roof near the restrooms.
How about bringing a pretty parasol? I bought some large, colorful asian style paper ones (Pier One) that were quite fun, I brought one along when one of our fairest daughters was visiting. She got a lot of smiles, waves and

I do wear a baseball hat in the pool and my sunglasses, even for water aerobics. and use waterproof sunblock.

I know there are now lightweight, long sleeved, UV protectant tee shirts that are sold as swimwear. Land's End (online) is one place to get them reasonably.

Good Luck

It's Florida.

I'm not a redhead or a blond, but I still burn easily. I hope there is a pool I can go to so I don't burn. I will have to look into one of those shirts.

Thanks for the replies.

And yes, Bogie Shooter, I realize it's Florida. I grew up in Florida back in the day when we would use baby oil and iodine to get the "best" tan possible. But I'd rather not get sun cancer like lots of my friends who have been here lifelong, just sayin!!

My surfer SIL got me a rash guard for snorkeling so I may use that some. I'm sure the sunglasses and hat will not be optional.

I am guessing that time of day makes a difference depending on the orientation of the pool area.

It will be fun to check them out and choose a few favorites!

(Oh, and Uptown girl, I did go with Sunburst! To be installed April 22!)
