Default Shutting off cable service temporarily

I come and go so I am not in my home in the villages full time. Do any of the cable tv providers give the ability to temporarily shut off TV service

Brighthouse has a seasonal option which I believe is $35.00 annually with a couple of conditions
- minimum 2 month suspension
- Start and end date set by customer
- no longer than 9 months of suspension annually
- if suspended for 2 months and then want Brighthouse to reactivate before the 2 months are up you will be billed for both months

This can be used to suspend TV, Internet, and Phone

Directv has a vacation plan with no cost when the service is on hold. You can put the service on hold 2 times a year.Must be for at least a month and no longer than 6 months. You keep all the equipment in the house and it is only a phone call ,power up the equipment hit the reset button to resume service.

Brighthouse.... one time fee of $28 for each time you put service in Vacation mode. No charge while on Vacation mode. Max length is 9 months which should suite most people. No charge to turn back on.

I was told yesterday there would be a charge of $34.00 and change plus tax (must have just increased) for the seasonal service and you are correct about the fee charged each time you place on seasonal. I thought it was an annual fee. Great service from Brighthouse. Couldn't be happier.

Comcast charges x amount for EACH service EACH month you are on the "seasonal plan."

We have internet and tv and pay about $15/month. No extra charge to turn off and on, but there are time restrictions which I can't recall. The last time we did it, it was pretty painless. **watch your bill for them charging for modem rental if you own your own modem**

Of course, I like the one time charge system better, but not with Comcast.
