Default Polycythemia vera - looking for Oncologist/Hemotologist

Hi! This post is for a friend of mine who recently relocated from the Philadelphia area to The Villages.
She has Polycythemia Vera. She has been treated in the Philadelphia area and is looking for a doctor in or within an hours drive of TV's. She has seen one doctor here in The Villages, but was not happy with his service and didn't feel he was the right fits for her.
If you have had or have had dealings with either this disease or a doctor, please post and I will forward it on to her.

If you are looking for an Oncologist/Hemotologist, I will highly recommend Dr. Jennifer Cultrera at Florida Cancer located in the Sharon Morse Building on the second floor. Dr. Cultrera did her fellowship at MD Anderson in Houston and was also with Moffitt in Tampa. Dr. Cultrera will not hesitate to make arrangements to see other specialists if she feels your particular cancer is out of her study field. Dr. Cultrera makes things happen fast with her ties to MD Anderson and Moffitt. Dr. Cultrera is the reason my wife received the proper diagnosis and treatment from Moffitt. With Moffitt being a 150 round trip, Dr. Cultrera has stayed actively involved with my wife's care. I don't think you can go wrong.

The members of our support group responded to this request. Here is what one member had to say, "I talked to a couple from the Villages at the MPN workshop in Pompano Beach, Fl. and the Dr she saw was Dr. Kenneth Zuckerberg at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida. She had ET as I recall. I don't think I have her name. I also went to Tampa to see Dr.Zuckerberg and I liked him." If you have any questions about this let me know.
Thanks

I too have this and I go to Cancer Centers Of Central Florida, I see Dr. Rambabu Tummala. They are located at 3355Wedgewood Lane The Villages. I am very happy with him and his staff.
