Default The Players Championship

Has anyone every gone to TPC Sawgrass for The Players Championship? We are going Thursday and I was wondering how far general parking is from the entrance as I haven't been able to find a map online. Also can't find info on restrictions as to what you can bring with you. Any help would be appreciated. We're going for Round 1 on Thursday and it's our first time! Any tips would be appreciated also.

General parking is off CR 210 (Palm Valley Rd.) and there are entrances to the course there. One enters near #8 tee and the other near #15 tee. If you go to Google maps, you can see it. It's the grey arc. Here it is. They have signs to help. Hope to see you there. I'm working the group of Charles Howell III, Ian Poulter, and Hunter Mahan off #10 at 1:49.

Thank you all so much for the info! We'll be heading out early. Wish I could walk the course but my knees are bad. Looking forward to it though!

I was there last year. No cameras are allowed. Cellphones are okay but they do have volunteers working as cellphone monitors to make sure you do not have them on.

Folding chairs are okay to bring in but not the chair bag. I set my chair on the back of the 17th green and had excellent view. Yes, walk around, too.

Parking is very close to the entrances.

Beer was about $5 and burgers were around $7.

We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel at World Golf Village. Make sure you also go walk around St. Augustine on a separate day. Eat some great fried shrimp at Barnacle Bill's.

You will have a great time

Went a few years ago and enjoyed it all. We were lucky to be a guest of a major sponsor. I roamed the course while Lady Bogeyboy sat in the air conditioned pavilion and watched on TV. Best of both worlds, except the pavilion shut down. before the action was done.

Thanks so much! We decided to leave today and I was still able to get rooms that take our pooches at LaQuinta in Jacksonville so we're about 30 min away but better than leaving in the wee hours tomorrow morning lol ! We did plan on probably parking ourselves at the 17th hole. Really looking forward to it. Thanks again everyone for all the help!

I am sorry I didn't get back here in time to respond! Hope you had a good time. We sure had fun but boy it got HOT out there. Hope you brought sunblock and and umbrella. We pretty much stayed right between the 16th and 17th holes. Got to see a lot!
