Hi, my mom lives in the Villages in the Morse/Avenida Central/Rio Grande area. She is in her late 80's, uses a walker (uses the scooter/wheelchair when in a store that has them) and doesn't drive.
About once or twice a week, she wants to visit my father, who is in a nursing home, 11.8 miles away, off the 27 in Leesburg. She needs the ride there and back, and usually stays for an hour or so.
She also needs tranportation to/from the local stores (like Walmart) to get prescriptions, do shopping, appointments, etc.
Taxis are extremely impractical and expensive for this (she also needs the person to hang out and assist her a bit for obvious reasons).
She had someone who she was paying for this, but that source is becoming less available.
Is there anyone that can provide this service?

Contact ST TIMOTHY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH.....
I was told by a social worker they have a volunteer program to come into ones home ....
Maybe if you explain this need, specifics can be arranged..
I have seen a courier service will buy groceries/pick up items with free deliver.

If she is active in her church,I would suggest contacting them for member support.

What about a live in caregiver. Someone who would get a salary and free rent. When my mother was about that age we had someone who lived with her who we paid. She was driven to all of her appointments, shopping, etc.
